Good Friends and Neighbors
Kindly Close Your Eyes, Along with Me,
And Pause for a Moment
Before You Tell Me What You See.
You May Say "Darkness"
And Some May Say "Not a Thing."
But I Will Tell You of the Clear Vision
That My Lack of Sight Brings.
I See a World Full of People
Crying Out in Need.
Not One Group of Folks
But People of Every Race, Color and Creed.
Not All in One Place
But All Over the World
On Nearly Every Continent
Under Every Flag Unfurled.
For I am a Lion;
A Knight of the Blind
The Protector of the Vision
Of All of Mankind.
All Threats to that Vision
Are the Enemies I Fight
Because Mankind's Vision Is Not a Privilege
But a Basic Human Right.
So My Friends, Please Open Your Eyes,
And Come Stand By My Side
And Experience the Satisfaction You Get
From Being Part of This Pride.
The Lions Are Doing So Much
But There's Much More To Do
Think of What We Could Achieve
If We Had Your Help, Too.
Together Let's See How Much Vision
We Can Protect and Preserve
As We Stand Shoulder to Shoulder and Say,
Simply and Humbly,
"WE SERVE?
